This is our Volvo valve cover clamp, this clamp is designed for Volvos... b-18 thru
b-20s, note the thickness and fit of these clamps. They are machined (as opposed to stamped)
to fit the radius and curvature of the Volvo valve cover.
These clamps are designed to cure weeping around the valve cover caused by deformation and
metal fatigue.
Older Volvos have had the valves adjusted (hopefully) many, many times.
This is routine maintenance that takes an eventual toll on the stamped steel valve cover.
That some times and places the cover was over-tightened to try and 'seal' a bad gasket
is almost a given on these vintages.
This clamp and set of instructions (and a new proper gasket) will cure all but the most
damaged valve covers.
These come a sets of 4 with instructions and hardware (gasket NOT included), priced
at USD 12.50 in silver, red and black - they are less expensive than many vendors hi end
gaskets and make the simple Volvo cork gasket effective again!
